Inessa Rose

A while, not so long a while, actually, back, I created a character for streaming purposes only. I made a Stamina Warden, and realised quite soon that I don't enjoy playing with her. To compensate, I created another new toon, a Dark Elf this time. She belongs to the family of Rose, like all of my Dunmer. At first, I thought I might make another Vampire, but Inessa had a mind of her own. She wanted to wield an Inferno Staff, and walk in the footsteps of Psijics and Mages. She would have nothing to do with creatures of the night, but would rather study the art of healing.

I rarely say No when hearing someone's will, so I let Inessa have her way. She soon took over my streams, and her final build was honed on Twitch. My Warden was completely forgotten as Inessa grew into her Flaming skin.

Inessa's build was featured on my YouTube channel an entire week ago. Today, I shared a video of her soloing Darkshade Caverns I. And now, I'd like to share more info on her here.

Skills

I play ESO alone. All of my characters are intended for PvE only. No Trials or PvP with these girls!

Inessa is armed with two staffs: one for dealing Flame Damage, one for healing. I like to claim that Inessa is a Semi-Healer. She is at her best in Public Dungeons, but should be able to play as a healer in easy Group Dungeons, too.

Inessa's build requires a lot of effort to create; we did the Psijic Order Main Quest, the Main Quest, and reached Maximum Level in Mages Guild. Even her gear is difficult to obtain.

Playing with Inessa also requires effort. Unlike most mages, her build works best when a certain rotation is used. Everything about her depends upon something else. The balance of it all makes her come alive in combat. I'll mark the rotation on her ability list.

When playing with Inessa, use heavy attacks on Resto Staff, and light attacks with Inferno Staff.

Set One - Restoration Staff

Critical Surge (make sure this remains active at all times)

Scalding Rune (cast when entering combat, re-cast after trigger)

Degeneration (cast when entering combat, re-cast after 10 seconds)

Ward Ally (cast when entering combat, re-cast when necessary)

Ultimate Ability - Gained from Main Quest

Shatter Soul

Set Two - Inferno Staff

Crushing Shock (spammable)

Blockade of Fire (spammable)

Flame Clench (spammable, use to push enemies back)

Fire Ring (use when dealing with hordes of enemies)

Elemental Weapon (cast before every light attack)

Ultimate Ability - Gained from Mages Guild

Shooting Star

Passives

Inessa's build benefits from Passive Abilities. You should have all passives from Destruction Staff, Restoration Staff, Mages Guild, Psijic Guild, and Light Armor. This build plays with Damage Shields. Inessa has three possible ones: Ward Ally is castable, one comes from Champion Points, and the Psijic Passives grant the third one. The reason why Inessa needs so many is her Monster Set.

Gear

Inessa wears three sets of armor. None of these are craftable. I chose one Overland Set, and Two Dungeon Sets for this build. Most of her gear is Light Armor.

Inessa's Overland Set is Silks of the Sun. It drops when you slay World Bosses and Dungeon Bosses in Stonefalls, and upon looting treasure chests and closing Dolmens. I have this set over five slots. Silks of the Sun adds to Spell Critical, Maximum Magicka, and Spell Damage. It also adds Spell Damage to Flame Damage abilities.

Both of Inessa's Dungeon Sets can be acquired from City of Ash I. Her first Dungeon Set is the Burning Spellweave Set. I have it covering another five slots; Chest, Waist, Hands, and both Weapons. The Burning Spellweave Set adds to Maximum Magicka, Spell Damage, and Spell Critical. It also increases Spell Damage on Flame Damage dealt, and sets enemies on fire for eight seconds at a time.

Inessa's Monster set comes from City of Ash I. The helmet drops when you slay the last Boss in Veteran Mode, and the shoulders can be purchased from Undaunted Vendors. The Infernal Guardian Set adds to Maximum Magicka. And when Inessa applies a Damage Shield upon herself of an enemy, she has a 50% chance of hurling 3 mortars of flame at enemies. This, as I have noted, happens truly at a 50% chance, and as Inessa has all kinds of Damage Shields, playing with her is, at its best, a feast of fire.

I hope you had fun reading about Inessa's build.
Until next time.
Love,
Heather
