Living as a Stage 4 Vampire in Elder Scrolls Online is not an easy feat. I recently made a video featuring a few tips and tricks I've learned during my adventures with the family of Roses, but today, I'd like to draw attention to one particular skill in the Vampire Skill Tree that makes undeath - a lot easier.
Mesmerize.
When you reach Vampire Stage 4, most Merchants and Bankers refuse to do business with you. Instead of happily trading with you, they'll cry in terror.
Stay back, monster!
There are ways to get around their hesitancy. One of them is knocking back a serving of Purifying Bloody Mara. This drink will instantly take your Vampire Stage down by one. When you're a bit of a lesser monster, merchants will like you again.
If you don't feel like sacrificing your Vampire Stage just to barter, you can just use Mesmerize on the foolish mortals. This handy trick will charm NPCs, much like Vampire's Seduction in Oblivion.
Mesmerize is an ability in the Vampire Skill Tree. It is unlocked as you reached Vampire Rank 6, and comes with two Morphs. Hypnosis stuns enemies for 5 seconds if they're facing your direction. Stupefy also stuns enemies for five seconds, but this Morph also slows them down as the effect ends. These don't differ much, but they do both come with an effect like no other in the game.
Unlike most abilities in ESO, Mesmerize is designed to be used on NPCs. When you're a Stage 4 Vampire, you can use this on any NPC in order to interact with them. I've made another video solely on this fun ability just to share more info on it.
