Lilyanne Rose

After creating Ethérna Rose, my Necro-Vamp, I wanted a new challenge. I found a level 5 Dark Elf from my "she looks cute but I don't like her skills" -list of characters, and decided to give her the Dark Gift. As I found pretty soon, it is less than a smart idea to turn a hero so young into a vampire. I made videos about Lilyanne's journey into darkness and to Champion Level 50. Which, in our case was 981, but who's counting.

Lilyanne Rose turned into a Vampire Sorceress. I wanted to make her self-reliant and deadly, and I think I did an OK job with that. Lilyanne's build features damage shields and life-stealing abilities along with your basic, damage-dealing lightning bolts. Her skills combined to her gear make her very, very difficult to kill, and a lot of fun to play with.

My favourite part about this build is taking a stage 4 vampire to a World Boss, and watching peeps around us die while Lilyanne just keeps on going without dropping below 80% health.

Skills

I play ESO alone. Relying on others doesn't feel natural for me, so my builds often feature both damage dealing and self-healing abilities. Lilyanne is no exception to this rule. Her build relies heavily on her Vampire Ultimate, and draws from many schools of magic.

Lilyanne wields two lightning staffs. One is meant for killing, while the other bears more skills from the Vampire skill tree. My Vamp-Sorc is a bit slow to deal damage, but she is very good at keeping herself alive. And as always, be warned: this build is designed for casual solo play only. No trials or PvP with this one!

With Lilyanne, I went with two craftable sets, and one monster set. For the first set, I chose something that came with the Greymoor DLC.

Spell Parasite set takes over five slots. I placed it on chest, waist, hands, legs, and feet. This set gives bonuses to Spell Damage, Spell Critical, and Maximum Magicka. When Lilyanne deals damage, Spell Parasite set restores 61 Magicka. As regular abilities cost more for a stage 4 vampire, this little buff is more than welcome. I crafted the pieces with the Divines trait, which increases Mundus Stone effects. As Lilyanne walks under the Mage, this gives her a further boost in Maximum Magicka.

For Lilyanne's other set, I chose an older set, Vampire's Kiss. This can be crafted in Malabal Tor, Alik'r Desert, and Eastmarch. Vampire's Kiss adds to Health Recovery, Maximum Health, and Healing Taken. Whenever Lilyanne kills an enemy, the set heals her over 6 seconds. The last buff is the reason I chose this set: as a stage 4 vampire cannot regenerate lost health, I wanted all the help I could possibly get for Lilyanne. I have Vampire's Kiss placed on jewellery, and both weapons. This way, the set won't break when switching staffs.
(or is it "staves"?)

I chose Lilyanne's monster set from pieces I had stashed. I'd acquired the Iceheart's Guise from Direfrost Keep a long time ago, and only needed to purchase shoulders to go with it. I was out of keys, and needed to complete many, many dungeons to obtain them. Finally, I had both pieces to the Iceheart Set. When Lilyanne deals Critical Damage, she has a 20% chance of gaining a damage shield that both absorbs and deals damage. I love this set, and it's perfect for Lilyanne.

During my journey with Lilyanne, I noted that levelling up characters is one of my favourite parts about Elder Scrolls Online. Watching a caterpillar you created develop into a beautiful, yet deadly, butterfly is both rewarding and exhilarating. I'm already planning to start over with a new smol one!

I hope you had fun reading about Lilyanne's build.
Until next time.
Love,
Heather
